URBAN SPORTS CLUB
The Berlin startup Urban Sports Club was founded in 2012 by Moritz Kreppel and Benjamin Roth. The idea: One membership for all your favorite sports in your city. Meanwhile you can participate in about 50 different sports with your Urban Sports Club membership at over 3000 partner studios. Even in Milan and Paris. This includes yoga, fitness, climbing, martial arts, dancing, rowing, golf, simply everything your heart desires. As we are also very busy and it is often difficult to follow fixed schedules and studio times, the Urban Sports Club App is a blessing for us, as we can decide daily what we feel like doing and what our schedule allows. Since the takeover of the former Berlin start-up Somuchmore, we have maintained a close friendship, as sustainability is also an important issue for Urban Sports Club. Especially in the sports area there is a lot of waste for water bottles. Therefore, Moritz and Benjamin want to encourage their community to be more conscious and responsible. Through their cooperation with LEOGANT, they motivate both studios and their members to stop buying mineral water in plastic bottles and switch to the more sustainable solution of a water dispenser. Of course, LEOGANT water also flows in the Urban Sports Club headquarters and the entire team can fill their own drinking bottles with fresh, vitalised water from a water filter. Fresh spring water also flows into the private kitchens of Moritz and Benjamin, and both of them always take their water from home for sports. With our common action we want to help to reduce the enormous plastic waste of 17.000.000.000 plastic bottles, which are thrown away in Germany every year. We are very proud of the friendship and hope that our work will inspire many people in our community to more sustainability, more sports and of course more water drinking.
