URBAN SPORTS CLUB
The Berlin startup Urban Sports Club was founded in 2012 by Moritz Kreppel and Benjamin Roth. The idea: One membership for all your favorite sports in your city. Now, with an Urban Sports Club membership, you can participate in around 50 different sports at over 3000 partner studios, even in Milan and Paris. This includes yoga, fitness, climbing, martial arts, dancing, rowing, golf, simply everything your heart desires. Since we are also very busy and it is often difficult to adhere to fixed schedules and studio times, the Urban Sports Club app is a godsend for us, as we can decide daily what we feel like doing and what our schedule allows. Since the takeover of the former Berlin start-up Somuchmore, we have maintained a close friendship, as sustainability is also an important issue for Urban Sports Club. Especially in the sports sector, a lot of waste is generated from water bottles. Therefore, Moritz and Benjamin want to encourage and motivate their community to be more conscious and take more responsibility through their cooperation with LEOGANT, so that both studios and their members no longer buy mineral water in plastic bottles, but switch to the more sustainable solution of a water dispenser. Of course, water from LEOGANT also flows in the Urban Sports Club headquarters, and the entire team can fill up their own water bottles with fresh, revitalized water from a water filter. Fresh spring water also flows in the private kitchens of Moritz and Benjamin, and they both always take their water from home with them to sports, setting a good example. With our joint campaign, we want to help reduce the enormous plastic waste of 17,000,000,000 plastic bottles that are thrown away annually in Germany. We are very proud of the friendship and hope that our work will inspire many people in our community to be more sustainable, do more sport and, of course, drink more water.
