Yes. Our multi-tested German activated carbon cartridge is TÜV approved and safely removes unwanted residues and pollutants such as:

Does a LEOGANT filter change the TDS/microsims value?
No. The TDS value/µs value cannot indicate whether a water is healthy or not. Only the conductivity is measured here. Our approach is a natural water treatment, therefore minerals and trace elements in the water remain unchanged. A water with many minerals has a higher TDS value/µs value in contrast to a water with few minerals. In nature, spring waters occur in different mineral concentrations, for example calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium, depending on their origin. Therefore, the TDS value/µs value depends on the region where you live.

Is a special tap necessary for the filter system?
Our filter systems usually require special water taps. An exception is our AVAIO countertop filter, which connects directly to your existing faucet. For systems that provide only still water, you can choose between 3-way faucets that replace your current faucet, or a separate faucet that requires an additional hole. The special drinking water faucets provide comfort and hygiene by separating filtered and regular domestic water, preventing contaminants from getting back into the water. With our premium filter, which manages 4 liters of flow per minute, it is possible to filter all the cold water in individual cases, if you can not separate from your faucet. However, for systems with boiling water or bubble function, a special faucet is indispensable, because it controls the equipment electronically.
Is limestone also filtered?
No. A LEOGANT filter system is designed to restore the natural balance of the water. Minerals and trace elements remain in the water with our filter system - even the dissolved lime (calcium carbonate). Dissolved minerals can be metabolized and give the water its typical regional taste and stabilize the PH value.
Lime has various functions in drinking water such as:
Mineral source: lime provides calcium
Taste: Lime is an important flavor carrier
Neutralization of acids: lime is alkaline
However, our vitalization changes the geometric structure of the lime in the water so that it no longer adheres so strongly and the water tastes fresh and soft.
How high are the follow-up costs?
According to DIN EN 806, a water filter must be replaced after 6 months at the latest. Therefore, you need 2 filter cartridges per year for our standard filter systems.
One filter cartridge costs 129,- Euro. The follow-up costs therefore amount to 258,- Euro per year for up to 40.000 liters of water.
Our business concepts for e.g. larger productions, fitness studios or gastronomy can include up to 4 filter cartridges and the annual costs are correspondingly higher.
How environmentally friendly is a LEOGANT filter system?
LEOGANT stands for sustainability and quality. Our filter systems are not only excellently manufactured, but also designed for longevity. Many of our customers have been using our products for more than a decade. When changing the filter, only the activated carbon cartridge needs to be replaced and not the entire housing, as is the case with many other suppliers. The activated carbon cartridge is made from coconut shells, a renewable resource. The filter systems themselves operate without electricity (except for kettles and bubblers) and no wastewater is wasted in the filtering process. In this way, we minimize waste and protect the environment. When you choose LEOGANT, you are not only investing in a durable product and excellent water, but also in a CO2 and plastic neutral company that has environmental protection in its DNA. And of course, you'll ensure less waste and fewer water bottles when you use a LEOGANT filter system.
Can I install the filter system myself or does LEOGANT offer an installation service?
We offer a nationwide installation service to ensure that your LEOGANT filter system is installed correctly and hygienically. If you wish to carry out the installation yourself, we supply our systems with all the necessary connection materials and installation instructions. Please note, however, that depending on the system, different craftsmanship skills are required. While you can carry out smaller installations in the private sector, we ask you to pay attention to hygiene and drinking water protection, especially when it comes to drinking water. Always check a few days after installation whether everything is really tight. Self-performed installations are excluded from our liability, so we strongly recommend laymen to hire a technician. For professional applications, a certified technician is generally required.
