Honestly, we are mega proud to be a B Corporation since May 2023 and thus part of a global movement that wants to do good with its business life and upholds the word "responsibility". Being a B Corp is more than just a seal or a nice title. It's proof that we are more than just another company that sees sustainability as marketing. It shows that we care about our planet and our fellow human beings, and that we're serious about what we say. It's a beacon on our journey to a better, more sustainable business world. For us personally, this certification means a lot, because it shows that our values, ethics and sustainability, which we have been cultivating since the first day Thomas Hartwig founded us, are valued and shared by other B Corps. They are part of our DNA. It reinforces our commitment to see our planet not just as a place to do business, but as a place that we all need to care for and preserve together.
Becoming a B Corp is no walk in the park, we can tell you that. Our certification took more than two years. You have to meet B Lab's strict social and environmental standards. And that's not just about what we sell, but also how we operate and how that affects society and the environment. It's a real challenge, but hey, we did it! We chose this path because we believe that the change we need must come from business, and therefore we must fundamentally rethink the way we do business.
